Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story

Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story is a light-hearted rom-com, set in Mumbai, during the time of the 2G Spectrum Scam. The movie is not complicated at all and is quite entertaining to be honest.

The film starts of by showing Simran Desai (Neha Sharma), a girl with a dream to be successful in Mumbai. She left her hometown to go to Mumbai (which was quite a big problem as his father was very close with her). Simran (in the two months she was in Mumbai) had it all, a great, great friends and not to mention a good salary too. But then, as the Scam got exposed, she lost her job and her accommodation. She had to prove to herself that Mumbai has not won, she needs to be successful. She shifts into a rented apartment where she meets her neighbour, Jayantabhai (Vivek Oberoi), a small-time gangster.
Jayantabhai works for Altafbhai (Zakir Husain) and aspires to be his right hand man. Altafbhai had sent Jayanta to jail so that Altaf himself wouldn't have to. Jayanta replaced him because Altaf promised him that he would make Jayantabhai his right hand man.
She, on the other hand, begins her search for a job.

Love kindles between the two, in a very unconventional way, while a gang rivalry aggravates in the background between Altafbhai and an ex-cop turned gangster Alex Pandiyan.

Jayanta, as the cool, confident, chilled out gangster, while still being a nervous wreck before meeting Simran's father was very well portrayed by Vivek. He is a very loveable character while also being a "tapori" (vagabond).
Due to obvious reasons in the film, Simran does not inform her father of what Jayanta actually does and tell him that he is a "senior marketting manager" in a computer firm. Jayanta is given a huge backstory by Simran which (kinda) convinces her father, however, Jayanta being him, had to stir up a fight at the restaurant, which led to Simran's father being disappointed in her choice.

SPOILER ALERT!

Jayantabhai goes crazy when Altafbhai's current right hand man tries to tell him what to do. Altafbhai stops Jayanta and tells him that he's useless and that was the reason why he sent Jayanta to rot in prison. This shocks Jayantabhai, he is literally baffled. He can't believe that everything he was told was a lie.
Drunk and dumb-founded he gets to his apartment and lies next to Simran's door as to say "I miss you Simran". In the morning, Jayanta gets the news that she's not returning as a new tenant moves into Simran's ex-apartment.

Jayanta calls up Simran and expresses his feelings and tell her that he realises everything is his fault. He convinces her to comeback to Mumbai so that she could do the interview for a job that she finally found. This scene is quite thrilling as Jayanta goes in her place raises havoc onto the interviewers and we have no idea whether she would reach the job interview in time or Jayanta's efforts were for no reason.

SPOILER ALERT!

Guess whaaaaa??? She does! She gets there in time. Simran does not know what happened or why Jayanta was there.
Jayanta goes back to Altafbhai's gang and shows him that Pandiyan is no one to be afraid of. He tells Altaf that he's going to kill Pandiyan. Altaf agrees to the plan but says that he will send Kunal (Jayanta's so called protige) to prison in Jayanta's place. Here, Vivek's acting is extremely emotional and heart felt.
When Jayanta gets to his apartment, he sees Simran waiting for him, but manages to hide behind a conveniently located wall, as he stares at her and then leaves (as he can not fatham the thought of facing her).

While Jayanta and Kunal are going to kill Pandiyan, he beats Kunal up and convinces him to leave this life of becoming a gangster and do something good with his life, after which he knocks Kunal out so that he does not get into any trouble. This action really makes you feel towards Jayanta and the goodness of his character.

Jayantabhai meets Pandiyan and fights with him. This is an entertaining scene, however kind of longer than it needed to be.
At the end of this figh/chase sequence, they reach the roof of the building, where Pandiyan...

SPOILER ALERT!

Jayanta pushes Pandiyan off the roof to his death, but not before he slices a blade through Jayanta's abdomen, causing him to bleed conitinuously. This is an extremely touching scene and causes the audience to feel sympathy for Jayanta. There's a quick "flashback" infornt of his eyes just before he tumbles to the floor of the rooftop and falls flat on his face.

To be honest the film has a few scenes that do not correspond with reality, but the film does what it's meant to do, renew the meaning of the word "love" (even if the love story seems like a background for most of the film)

Next, we move to a six months "later" situation, where Simran got the job she wanted and has become very successful at it as she is at the post of "IT Head".
She seems very happy with her life but she feels that something is missing. Since the day that she last saw Jayanta, she feels as though a part of her life has disappeared. She only sees him in her dreams, but after lots of searching, she is still unable to find him.

SPOILER ALERT!

One day when she goes to fill her tank up (in her car obviously), she encounters Jayanta (wooo! he's alive) washing her windows. They both express their love for eachother and like a lot of Hindi films, they live "happily ever after".

To be honest, I enjoyed the movie, even though I always had an incling that it wouldn't be a big hit, but I knew it would be worth a watch, and it did not disappoint. The songs in this film are addictive and cause the audience to fully grasp the emotions of the characters.

I give this film a 5/10 "5 out of 10"
Rating: Average/Feel good romantic

Argo review

Argo is the story of a real life operation conducted in 1980 to rescue American hostages in Iran, at the time of the revolution.
The movie begins, November 4th 1979, with an enormous protest which attacks and breaks through the doors of the US Embassy in Tehran. The protesters include EVERYONE (all ages) fighting for their freedom (as they called it) and hence hijacking the embassy was the perfect way to let the US government know that they mean business. They want the US (who had given the Shah asylum) to send the Shah back so that he could pay for his crimes.

SPOILER ALERT!

During the hijacking, six members of the US embassy escape through a hidden pathway and seek refuge in the Canadian ambassador's residence. No one apart from a few people in the US government knew about the six that had escaped. They began to find ways to help the escapees ex-filtrate from Iran.
Tony Mendez (Ben Affleck) , a CIA exfiltration specialist brought in for consultation, criticizes the proposals, but is at a loss for an alternative. While on the phone with his son, he gets inspired by the movie "Battle Of The Planet Of The Apes" and begins plans for creating a cover story for the escapees being Canadian filmmakers looking for extraordinary and exotic locations in Iran for a similar type of science-fiction movie.

Mendez and his supervisor Jack O'Donnell (Bryan Cranston) contact John Chambers (John Goodman), a Hollywood make-up artist who has previously crafted disguises for the CIA. Chambers puts them in touch with film producer Lester Siegel (Alan Arkin).
Together they set up a fake film studio, publicise their plans, and successfully establish the pretense of developing Argo, a "science fantasy" in the style of "Star Wars", to lend credibility to the cover story.

Meanwhile, the escapees grow frantic inside the ambassador's residence. The revolutionaries reassemble embassy papers shredded before the takeover and learn that some personnel have escaped.

SPOILER ALERT!

Mendez's cover is that of the producer of the film "Argo". He arrives in Iran and links up with the six escapees at the Canadian ambassadors residence. He provides them with fake identities and Canadian passports. The escapees need to learn everything about their cover stories, which seems easier to some than others. The group of escapees are reluctant to believing what Mendez proposes as they do not yet trust him.
However, they still go along with him to a scouting visit into the bazaar, as they know that Mendez is risking his life as well. At the bazaar, events go from bad to worse as one of the escapees (posing as a photographer) takes pictures of a man's shop, who is not pleased by this (to say the least). A crowd develops who support the man's anger. This situation could have gotten a lot worse, if their Iranian culture contact didn't guide them away from the hostile crowd.

Suddenly, Mendez is informed that the operation has been cancelled and he needs to come back due to the military going in to rescue the hostages. Ignoring his bosses' orders, he goes ahead with the operation. He pushes O'Donnell to quickly re-obtain authorisation for the plane tickets to their flight from Iran to Canada.
There's tension at the airport, where the escapees' flight reservations are confirmed at the last minute, and a guard's call to the supposed studio in Hollywood is answered at the last second. The group boards the plane, which takes off just as the Revolutionary Guards at the airport uncover the ruse and try to stop them.
As the plane flies out of Iranian borders, there is a huge sigh of relief for the escapees, Mendez and to be honest the audience too.

SPOILER ALERT!

Canada is given all the credit for this plan, as US involvement would endanger the remaining hostages back in the US embassy in Tehran.
Mendez is awarded the Intelligence Star (One of the most prestigious awards in the CIA), but due to the classified nature of the mission, he would not be able to keep the medal until the details were made public in 1997. All the hostages were freed on January 20, 1981. The film ends with the speech of the former President Jimmy Carter and his views on these events.

All in all I think this movie is very well made, written, EVERYTHING! Flaws, to be perfectly honest, I could not find any as I was just so involved with the film that I just wanted the escapees to return back home safe and sound.
RATING SYSTEM

Gangster Squad review

The movie starts off in 1949, showing Micky Cowen (Sean Penn) a boxer and with the aim of becoming a big shot!
After the 2nd world war, in Los Angeles, he is become a mobster.
The film is narrated by John O'mara (Josh Brolin)! He is the cop! A sergeant to be exact. He is shown saving the life of an innocent girl who is about to be raped by Cowen's men.
Cowen is the don!! the police can't touch him, but O'mara is given the order to go after him with a small team (aka gangster squad but its not really called that) to destroy his plans and what he wants from LA.
In the meantime, Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling) begins to romance Cowen's girl, Grace Faraday (Emma Stone) and it seems like they're falling in love!
O'mara's wife (who is pregnant btw) hand picks the team (why??? You will see when you watch the film) which includes Conwell Keeler (Giovanni Ribisi), Coleman Harris (Anthony Mackie) and Max Kennerd (Robert Patrick). Ramirez (Michael Pena) joins the crew along with Max.
As the result of a calamity, Jerry also decides to join the team.
Together the squad brings down Cowen's businesses and his leading men. There are many good quality action sequences as well as some funny parts, so yes the film is quite entertaining.
O'mara's team finds out what Cowen's plan is and to stop that from happening they require Jerry to talk to Grace (which obviously you'll have to watch the movie to see what happens).
Cowen wants to control the entire west coast's betting which is A HUGE BUSINESS! As he says 'where the real money is'.
Keeler is the genius of the bunch and his efforts allow the team to pinpoint where Cowen's operations are.

SPOILER ALERT!
The squad finds the hideout and burns all the money and everything else Cowen had! To be honest, these scenes are well portrayed in the movie.
Cowen realises that this 'squad' that has been sabotaging his plans, are infact police officers. He goes quite mad! Which leads to Grace fleeing from his house with the help of the maid.
Keeler and O'mara eavesdrop on a discussion of Cowen's and well... You'll have to see what happens next!

SPOILER ALERT!

It's a set up for the gangster squad by Cowen.
Keeler gets killed
O'mara's house is raided and his pregnant wife has to cover for safety, all on her own. She gives birth at this time, scared beyond belief.
Jerry's friend, who he entrusts with Grace's safe journey out of the city, is killed by Cowen himself as she watches from behind a bush.
Cowen basically wins as O'mara and his chief (who originally gave him the order for the gangster squad) are going to be dismissed and reassigned respectively. O'mara goes to meet Cowen but he is no where to be found.
O'mara's newly grown family leaves the city while he stays and tries to make a meaning out of 'Keeler's death'.
Grace escapes from Jerry's friend, Jack's house. She tracks down Jerry and tells him that she will be the witness to Cowen murdering a man.
The squad reunites for the last time to take down Cowen perfectly legally with an arrest warrant, AND with Grace as the witness.

SPOILER ALERT!

There is a very high impact, well directed final battle between the gangsters and the gangster squad, but the battle was won by the police.
In short, everything became calm, no mob ever tried to gain hold over Los Angeles again. O'mara left the force while the others continued on as loyal and honoured police officers.
O'mara is shown relaxing on a beach with his family, delighted in his city 'it's not perfect but it is the city of Angels'.
But all in all, it's a good movie, my only criticism is that the reason that Jerry joined the squad was extremely rushed and as a member of the audience may seem too sudden to absorb.
RATING SYSTEM
Performance 8/10
Direction 8/10
Story/Script 7/10
Action 8/10
Cinematography 7/10
Music/Soundtrack 6/10
I would rate this film 7.3/10 "7.3 out of 10"
Rating: Good, a must watch for anyone above the age of 15, but might not be everyone's cup of tea.

Special 26 review

Special 26 revolves around the idea of the "fake" CBI in the 80's in India. It shows the concept very well as well as performances of everyone in the movie were believable hence very well executed.
To be honest, this is my favourite Akshay Kumar film as this film by far has one of the cleanest stories I've seen this year.
It begins with an interview in March 18th 1987 and from there on we go into a, so to say, "flashback" where Anupam Kher (PK Sharma) and Akshay Kumar (Ajay Singh) are discussing a "CBI raid" on a minister's house. They call some policeman/women to help them which includes Jimmy Shergill (Ranvir Singh) and Divya Dutta (Shanti).
They conduct this raid and officially sieze all the money the minister had...after a while (when Ajay Singh and PK Sharma and the gang have left) the head constable, Ranvir Singh suspects something might be wrong and reports to the minister who in turn contacts the "BIG" police dudes. The "BIG" police dudes don't do much (as the minister does not want anyone to know about his black market dealings) except suspend Ranvir and Shanti.

Following the successful raid at a minister's house, it's revealed that Ajay and Sharma are fake CBI officers, along with their two accomplices. They then move to different parts of the country from which they're from and merge into their everyday lifestyles. Ajay's love interest, Kajal Agarwal (Priya), an about-to-be-married teacher is introduced here. The crew meets again in Chandigarh at the behest of Sharma for his daughter's wedding.

CBI officer Manoj Bajpai (Waseem Khan) who is introduced and his family life is shown for a small period of time, with his son and wife. His team apprehends a man named Gupta and they try and extract information about this "fake" CBI but he is no help to them. After this, a disgraced Ranvir meets Waseem Khan, who immediately feels sorry for him and eventually come to a decision of working together to destroy this fake CBI and renew the identity of the CBI in the public's eye.

Meanwhile, the next raid planned by Ajay is conducted on a traders' business in Bara Bazar in Kolkata posing as officers from the Income Tax Department. Following the more difficult but successful raid, Khan insists that this should be reported in the newspaper, despite nobody coming forward to report it themselves, as black money is involved. Upon seeing this in the newspaper, Ajay decides to conduct their "big job", a final raid in Mumbai. This came as quite a shock to Sharma, however he was right behind Ajay in this plan.

From here on in (for a while) the CBI story takes a backseat and the "love story" begins. This shows the relationship (or lack of to Priya's parents) emerge as the key goal for Ajay. He wants to do this job, disappear forever and live happily ever after with her.
Priya (who was set to be married to someone else) insists she wants to go to Mumbai with Ajay, but he convinces her to stay but asks her to meet her at the airport on a certain date at 4pm.

SPOILER ALERT!

Meanwhile, Ranveer finds information about Sharma, and Khan orders wire-tapping his phone. This is successful as when Ajay calls and tells Sharma their plan about the jewellery store "raid", Khan exactly knows where and when the "raid" will take place.

Now, Ajay, followed by a CBI officer, goes to a newspaper to advertise for "50 dynamic graduates" with details of an interview stated. Khan decides to embed his officers among the candidates and they are selected. Khan finds information about this and orders his officers to report to him as soon as the raid is mentioned, but no details are given to them.

In order to find out more, Khan and Ranveer go to the hotel and force their way into Sharma's room. He divulges the information about the raid, following a threat of violence. He also mentions that Ajay is taking revenge on the CBI for not appointing him. Khan orders Sharma to make sure everything proceeds as normal.

SPOILER ALERT!

On the day of the raid, Khan replaces the real jewellery with fake replicas and the real jewellery is stored in the store's workshop (in a more remote area).
As the "Special 26" are selected and prepped up to go on the practice "raid", Sharma is given control of the bus that has all the recruits while Ajay and his other colleagues trail in the car.The bus passes the the police headquarters and Sharma exits the bus to get some paperwork checked and orders the others not to leave the bus till Sharma and Ajay get there.
In reality Sharma waits for someone.

SPOILER ALERT!

Back at the jewellery store, Khan tells Ranvir and Shanti to go to the workshop to see if everything is going alright....little does he realise that the "INSIDE MAN" of this job is Ranvir himself and his accomplice Shanti.
OMG! RIGHT!!!!!! I was very impressed by this.
Ranvir and Shanti meet Sharma outside the police headquarters and pick him up....then they depart for the workshop. Ajay by this time has began his raid at the workshop and later Ranvir, Shanti and Sharma join him. They successfully complete the raid. Ajay goes to meet Priya at the airport as soon as they are done.

At the jewellery store, Khan is informed that the raid was conducted at the workshop and all jewellery in the workshop along with the jewellery that were moved, were stolen. Khan works it all out for himself, realizing that Ranvir was part of the gang and he wasn't a real police officer at all and they were set up right from the beginning. Khan starts laughing loudly and applauding the entire robbery.

Later, Khan receives a money order for Rs. 100 that Ajay had taken from him with the message that he could not steal the honest earnings of an officer. The film ends with Khan being told over the phone that the CBI has information about the perpetrators. At the same time we see Ajay Singh and P.K Sharma enjoying a cricket match happily with their wives.

I give Special 26, 8/10 "8 out of 10"
Rating: Great film! Fantastic Story! But might be a little simple for the more hollywood-ly apt members of the audience

ABCD (Anybody Can Dance) review

ABCD has to be (in my opinion) the first proper 3D movie in India. Even Ra-One with all their "special effects" looked tacky, but ABCD was very good in 3D.

The movie shows a new feel for dance movies, kind of like the Step Up collection and Street Dance etc in Hollywood. It truly concentrates on dance and dance alone, while addressing little bits of life oriented challenges in between.

The film revolves around Prabhudeva's character (Vishnu), who starts off as the choreographer of the biggest dance academy "JDC" and like all dance movies, due to disagreements, he starts his own dancing "crew" and then we go from there.
The reason Vishnu quits is that he believes "Dance Dil Se" (the dance competition in the film) should not be fixed....the team that performs best should win. JDC's founder Jahangir Khan (played by Kay Kay Menon) spends loads of money and from bribing the judges, he gets his dancing company to win. Vishnu disagrees with this and quits (but don't think JDC has no choreographer, Khan already hired an international choreographer, so he wasn't much bothered by Vishnu leaving).

Vishnu goes to live with his old friend (another choreographer) Gopi. There he finds (without trying) a group of teenagers/young adults who are interested in dance but are also part of two rival gangs.
D (Dharmesh) and Rocky (Salman) are the leaders of these two gangs. Once friends, turn enemies explains the rivalry between the two gangs.
Alot of the movie from this point on is showing how the rival gangs work together to form one dance crew. There are more additions to their crew but most of it still consists of the "gang" members.

An ex student (from JDC) , Rhea (played by Lauren Gottlieb), of Vishnu's also joins the crew because Jahangir had tried to take advantage of her. She becomes the dancer they had been waiting for to complete their quota.

What movie lover doesn't like love triangles? Well all movie lovers do, so even in ABCD, they won't be disappointed. Rocky, Rhea and D (the Love triangle). Rocky starts going out with Rhea, which angers D.
Eventually D gets with a girl from Rocky's gang which leads to a friendship between the two rivals, once and for all. Vishnu faciliates this as he also tries to improve lives of other members of the crew (like Chandu a drug addict, by helping him quit). DDR (Vishnu's crew) gets into the competition by the most random angle where Jahangir convinces the judges to put them in as "jokers" to anger Vishnu even further. DDR reaches the semi finals and on the day of the semi finals, Chandu goes to buy a ring for his girlfriend (who's in the crew as well) as he is going to ask her to marry him after the semi final performance.

SPOILER ALERT!
Just then he again meets his old druggie friends who want to see his ring and ask Chandu to join them for a round of drugs. Chandu refuses and asks for his ring back. His friend then throws the ring box towards him which falls down. As Chandu is about to retrieve it, he is hit by a truck and dies instantly. All are waiting for Chandu to turn up for the semi finals when they learn of his demise.
They are shocked but resolutely go ahead with their touching semi final dance routine. DDR reaches the finals only to get a shock that their act has been performed by JDC! Mayur (member of DDR) ultimately comes out to be the culprit who has sold out his team and becomes JDC's lead dancer as well.

DDR prepared their act within 10 minutes eventually emerge out as the winners of "Dance Dil Se".

This is a funfilled movie with a lot of ups and downs which made me think that it was a little too long and kind of had too many aspects to it, however, it is a must watch for dance lovers and people who are just interested in the movie for their stories. Prabhudeva was not great with his acting bu made up for it with his dance moves

I give this movie 6.5/10 "6.5 out of 10"
Rating: Above Average! 3D camerawork amazing! Must watch for dance fanatics! Beautifully composed music

Akaash Vani review

 http://ratethefilms.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/akaash_vani_2013.jpg

This movie, to be perfectly honest, was expected to do very well at the box office, but it was the exact opposite. One of the biggest disappointments in Indian cinema was Akaash Vani.

The movie begins well, giving the audience high hopes that maybe this could be next “DDLJ” but soon, the plot looks weak as the lead characters Akaash (Kartik Tiwari) and Vani (Nusrat Bharucha) get together and suddenly their 4 year college experience comes to a close. The movie goes from having started college to ending college within half an hour or so.

I understand what the director might have been attempting to do , but the execution was not as good as they portrayed to the public, before the release of the movie.

As in every indian romantic (old school) film, due to family problems, Vani breaks it off with Akaash. Listens to her parents and becomes a good daughter but that’s basically where Akaash’s role comes to a halt.
Years pass by and all we see is Vani is unhappy with her life, she tries to make it work but her husband is very particular and short tempered. He uses her at many occasions in the movie and Luv Rajan (director) portrays these scenes very graphically and shows the pain and agony Vani is suffering.
One day (many years of being used), at a college reunion, the former couple reunite and that’s where their “affair” begins. She realises that her husband does not keep her happy. Akaash fuels this hatred of hers and this finally leads to the so called climax.
The confrontation of Akaash and the husband. This scene is not expressed very well through the camera, but the audience understands what is going on.

Vani stands up for herself (now having found her once true love again) and gives a long speech about women rights. This kind of took me by surprise as I expected an “epic” love story rather than a moral lesson at the end of it (which is not necessarily a bad thing).

In short... Happy ever after for Akaash Vani. Tbh, you can decide for yourself but in my opinion this movie was bad. I would not recommend you watch this at all.

I give this film, 3/10 "3 out of 10"
Rating: Below Average/Bad/Flop/Please do not waste your time!

Race 2 review

                          http://ratethefilms.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/race-2-5v1.jpg

It starts off just with a random lamborghini that is parked somewhere and some random man shoots the gas tank of the car...hence (you guessed it...) leading to a spontaneous explosion. Right now, we have no idea "WHAAAAT" just happened.

Anil Kapoor (RD in the film) begins to narrate and introduces us to Armaan Malik (John Abraham) and his step sister Alina Malik (Deepika Padukone). These two are in business (with eachother) and are "super rich". Armaan Malik used to be a street fighter (yes exactly like the game, unfortunately no hadukens in the film) turn rich dude!
Armaan and Alina are shown playing a game of poker with Vikram Thapar (Rajesh Khattar) who is some big shot casino owner.
Fast forward, Armaan meets the "girl" for him, Omisha (Jacqueline Fernandez) and they instantaneously fall in love.

Here comes Ranvir Singh (Saif Ali Khan), with a continuation from the first one, we get to a point where Ranvir meets RD and asks to meet Armaan Malik. Weird right?? But that's how it goes.
Next scene, we see Ranvir going into Vikram Thapar's casino with $5 million and loses it and says "That's the money I gave up to meet you" (you as in Vikram). Due to some purposeful misunderstandings on Vikram's end, Ranvir Singh "screws" him over and in return all the casinos he once owned, go to Armaan Malik.
Why does it go to Armaan Malik? Well as we see, that Ranvir Singh (when he met Armaan Malik) tells Armaan that he will get him Vikram's casinos for a third of the price of what they actually are worth (which he does...the 5 million from before) .

Why is Ranvir Singh being so generous to Armaan Malik ...well actually he wants to give him all Armaan wants and then STEAL IT AWAY FROM HIM!! Because the lambo at the start of the movie, was Ranvir's and Sonia (Bipasha Basu from the Race) was in the car when the car exploded! Cliffhanger right? Well, I would suggest you watch the rest of the film, I've given you a taster of what the movie is about (yes indeed there are TOO MANY TWISTS AHEAD), but I would say you should watch it!

I give this film,7/10 "7 out of 10"
Rating: Above Average/Interesting Story, but not very believable!

Bollywood in 2013!

Stop! This year was in my opinion one of the worst starts Bollywood has had in years! Low budget films Table No.21, Raajhdaani Express, Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola, Mumbai Mirror, Inkaar, Akaash Vani! None of these films made an impact on cinema, the distributors or the heart's of the people who went to watch these movies in the cinema.

Kinda disappointed by this start, there was one "small" but significant light at the end of January! And that was Race 2! I must say personally, I saw a lot of flaws in that film and I think Abbas Mustan just like to go "crazy twist" when making a film, twist upon twist upon twist BUT that does make good cinema these days. This (upto date) is the highest grossing film of the year reaching the (well known) "100 crore club" and is the only film to reach that this year.

Now, I'm going to review Race 2 and Akaash Vani, the movies I actually awaited for this January. After that I will write a review for all the films released so far (the ones which are worthy of a review)

Enjoy:)
