Kai Po Che! review

Kai Po Che! just might be the best film of this year in Bollywood! If not, a very close second!(upto now)

This film encompasses so many different subjects and mashes them into one, that will actually cause the viewer to be in awe of the movie.

Story side of things, this was amazingly well written, with so much of clarity and vision that the audience will be able to feel as though the characters are factual.

Film is centred around 3 friends: Ishaan Bhatt (Sushant Singh Rajput), Omkar Shastri (Amit Sadh) and Govind Patel (Rajkumar Yadav).
Ishaan, a super cricket maniac fanatic, who also had the potential to play for the Indian team, but never took the opportunity! Omkar, a business man (or wants to be at least) and Govind, who idolises Ishaan and just wants to be true to his friends and family!

SPOILER ALERT!
When Ishaan finds out about Omkar and his sister, Vidya (Amrita Puri), are in a relationship...Sushant's acting in that scene is unbelievable. Absolutely fantastic! There are many scenes where you can see the quality of these 'underestimated' actors as they fulfil their roles impeccably well.
Rest assured, I will not be giving any more spoilers as the movie builds up to certain events extremely well while the direction by Abhishek Kapoor justifies these events terrifically.
The way the film is set out is now becoming a pattern in a lot of Indian films... The non-linear framework! Starts off in the present, go to the past and then back to the present, BUT this film does this beautifully! Not once do you feel as if there is something missing.

All of the songs (even though not many) are amazingly composed! They are amazingly melodious!

That being said, I only had one problem with the idea of mobile phones being excessively used in 2000-2002 time period in India, as they had not been very popular back then. Apart from that, I can not pick out any inconsistencies.

All in all, this film is very well written, the acting is exceptional, dialogues are dynamic with a hint of rawness so the characters seem genuine.

I give this film a 8.5/10 "8.5 out of 10"
Rating: Awesome! Must Watch! Thrilling! Shock! Love it!
